In 2010, I accidentally deleted a whole hard drive worth of information. It included everything, EVERYTHING, from my two undergraduate degrees. *loud weeping 😭*
I used a retrieval software to try and get the files back. It didn’t work for the university files, but it did create these beautiful images out of photos taken in Saskatchewan Ghost Towns.
They’re cyborg images, photographed and edited by a human and then re-edited by the software. This project directly led into more explorations with human-machine artwork, and eventually my poetry collection, The Cyborg Anthology.
Click through the images to look closely and see their titles.
